INTRODUCTION/POWERS:
- The Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Department is one of the three Directorates under the office of the Secretary to the State Government. The Department performs the functions of processing of appointment of political office holders and responsible for matters relating to Nigeria Citezenship and recommendation for Merit Awards.
VISION:
To achieve optimum result in Government business through efficient service delivery and good governance.
MISSION:
Coordinating the activities of the MDA's by ensuring that Government policies/programmes are fully implemented.

OBJECTIVES:
- i. To Response and analyze Reports of committee's set-up by Government including drafting of white papers.
- ii. To Investigation of complaints and petitions where applicable.
- iii. To Compile and keep records of the resolutions passed by State House of Assembly as well as making follow-ups to ensure compilance by the affected Ministries/Departments.
- iv. To performs any other duties assigned by the Secretary to the State Government..
